The Type 65 Coupe is designed to be an accurate replica of the original 1965 World Championship Daytona Coupe. The Factory Five Type 65 Coupe captures the look and feel of the original 200 mph GT cars, but as with all Factory Five designs, it is more reliable and comfortable.

2 Ways to Build Your Type 65 Coupe
Just like our Mk4 Roadster, the Coupe can be built two ways. You can buy a base kit that is “donor Mustang capable,” or you can buy the complete kit that gives you just about every nut and bolt you need to build the car (except engine/transmission/rear-end, wheels/tires, and paint).

The Type 65 Coupe base kit is based on the innovation of using running gear from a single donor vehicle — namely, the high-performance Ford Mustang. The concept was, and still is, so simple. If you have our base kit and running gear parts from a 1987-1993 Mustang GT donor car, you already have all the parts you need to build and drive your car!

Over the years we have expanded our chassis kit to include factory-new parts as well. Our complete kit comes with all-new parts. The only things you’ll need to add are your own engine/transmission/rear end, wheels/tires, and paint.
