FAQs
Here are a few questions we get every day here at Factory Five:
I am 6’5″. Will I fit in the Type 65 Coupe?
- This is not always a simple yes or no answer because it depends on you set-up the car and how you’re proportioned. There are indeed 6’5″ Factory Five Type 65 Coupe drivers, but to elaborate, here are some things to consider:
Consider a different seat option than the standard Coupe seat so that you can sit lower and further back - The Wilwood pedal box (which comes with the Complete Kit) is an excellent tool in optimizing pedal position and leg room
- Remember that the 4.6L and 5.0L Coyote engines require driver footbox aluminum that takes some space away from the width of the footbox. If you’re worried about foot room, consider a small block engine, for example.
- If in doubt, visit us or find a local owner on The Factory Five Forum who will let you sit in their car. Just remember that their car is set up for them and small changes like those suggested above can make a huge difference.
Will the new Ford 5.0L Coyote engine fit in the Type 65 Coupe engine bay?
Yes. The 5.0L Coyote engine will bolt directly into the new Gen 3 Type 65 Coupe.
Can I order a Factory Five Type 65 Coupe in a Right Hand Drive configuration?
Yes, the new Gen 3 Type 65 Coupe will be available in a right hand drive configuration..
How much does it cost to ship the Type 65 Coupe?
There’s a couple of options. You can come pick-up the car here at the factory for free (except for any travel costs) or you can hire a shipping company to pick-up and deliver the car to your house for you. We recommend using Stewart Transport if you decide to have a company ship a kit for you. Their phone number is 888-737-4852.
