World-record setting pilot Barrington Irving was the youngest and the first African-American pilot to fly solo around the world. Barrington’s charity organization named “Experience Aviation” teaches under-privileged inner-city youth valuable skills and self-confidence. The Factory Five GTM was their first automotive project and the car has a rematch race against a jet fighter (the first race the GTM overheated behind the jetwash of the plane).
In addition to the GTM, Experience Aviation has just ordered a new model 818S for the kids to build. The 818 will join the GTM in a publicized exhibition race to be announced shortly. Check out some photos from the class. This is a great cause and if you would like to donate or sponsor them, click here to visit their website.
Barrington and his staff at Experience Aviation have awarded more than $1.5 million to students scholarships and have accrued over 500,000 hours of student class instruction!

This white LS-powered GTM was built by students and instructors at Experience Aviation camp.
Both the new Factory Five 818 and the GTM are built by the kids at Experience Aviation will compete in drag race against a jet aircraft this summer down in Orlando, FL. More details shortly.
